I am humbled to serve as the President of the Western Reserve (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (WRL), a group of amazing, powerful and influential women linked in friendship and service. The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation that was established in 1946. We are one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations with over 17,000 professional women of African descent with over 300 chapters in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the United States. We are committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other people of African ancestry. This commitment continues to powerfully resonate through 2023 and beyond.

The WRL Chapter is committed to service through the Arts, Health & Human Services, International Trends & Services, National Trends & Services with our primary focus to provide resources and effectuate change in the Central Area neighborhood of the City of Cleveland. I am excited as we continue to expand the reach of WRL in Cleveland’s Central Area neighborhood and making a difference and a sustainable impact as we continue to be Linked in Friendship and Connected in Service. Fairly recent data (2019) describes the Central neighborhood as home to 11,700 people with one of the highest poverty rates in the city (71%). Our goal is to give back and support our communities through various programs such as Growing Leaders, Black K.A.R.E., an annual Mobile Mammogram, Community Baby Shower and Conversations With . . .to name a few.
